Happy Election Day

I am a happy voter. Everything about today has made me happy. It is gorgeous outside, which they say is good for voter turnout. I voted at 2:00pm, and while it wasn't busy, there was a steady stream of people coming to vote. Joy!

As I looked over my ballot, I was thinking about voting a straight-party ticket for the Democrats. But, I paused and realized that I really wanted to cast my vote for Barack Obama specifically - not just the Democratic party.

It felt right.

I hope everyone else is having a fabulous day.

Fabulous! As of right now, we/I do not know the results for sure. It's too soon to celebrate, but I REALLY want to. Everything points to my desired outcome, but I'm too superstitious to count my chickens before...

I can't help but think about all the people around the world paying attention to the outcome of this election. I want so badly for the majority of this planet to feel good about the United States again- will that ever happen?!

It will...it will!

And, I did the "straight-party" thing because 1) I wanted to vote for Obama, AND 2) I wanted to send the message that "Enough is enough!" in the strongest possible way.

Booing Obama during McCain's concession speech: tacky, or stupid?

Tacky, for sure. Of course, I don't like booing in general.
